    NanoPave Application

    Natural Stone &Flagstone

Install flagstone or other natural stone on a well compacted base rock, topped with a half inch of masonry sand for cushioning. For the joint material, we recommend using a 1/4” or 3/8” minus crushed stone (CS) with fines or decomposed granite (DG).

    1. Step 1
      1. Base rock should be well compacted.
      2. ˝" of masonry sand overlay to cushion stone bed.
      3. Place Flagstone & Joint material
    2. Step 2
      1. Apply a flood coat of NanoPave® liquid with a hand pump or low pressure sprayer (15-20 psi) at the recommended rates. For wider joints, concentrate the NanoPave® spray in the joints. Note, only apply NanoPave® when pavers and joints are dry, and surface is thoroughly cleaned.
    3. Step 3
        1. Use a squeegee to remove excess NanoPave® from the surface of the pavers. With the squeegee, push the sealer into the joints, be sure to cover the surfaces of the pavers evenly. Allow 24 hours before use.

For a higher gloss or more enhanced finish apply a second coat of NanoPave® at 200 sf./ gallon

    Brick/Concrete Pavers

The following installation process is for unsealed pavers. If you are installing a new paver surface, simply follow the beginning steps in the "Natural Stone Installation" process: Compact sub-base, lay 1/4" sand, and then place bricks/pavers.

    1. Step 1
      1. Apply a flood coat of sand on top of the entire paver surface. Use a vibratory plate compactor to compact all the sand into the joints tightly.
      2. Use a push broom to sweep all sand remaining on paver surfaces evenly into the paver joints.
      3. Using a leaf blower (on low power), blow off all loose sand on the surface of the paving surface.
    2. Step 2
      1. Apply a flood coat of NanoPave® liquid with a hand pump or low pressure sprayer (15-20 psi) at the recommended rates. Note, only apply NanoPave® when pavers and joints are dry, and surface is thoroughly cleaned.
    3. Step 3
      1. Use a squeegee to remove excess NanoPave® from the surface of the bricks/pavers. With the squeegee, push the sealer into the joints, be sure to cover the surfaces of the pavers evenly. Allow 24 hours before use.

For a higher gloss or more enhanced finish apply a second coat of NanoPave® at 200 sf./ gallon
