Oklahoma Flagstone
If you’re a fan of Texas Football, then anything with Oklahoma in the name makes you cringe! Now, we’re gonna stay neutral on this, but we do have to tell you that them fellas and fellettes north of us Texans really do know how to grow some stone!
Oklahoma Flagstone is what you might call the crème de la crème when it comes to sandstone in our neck of the woods. Used all over the country, Oklahoma Flagstone’s popularity might exceed even Dolly Parton! Well except for Tennessee, they love them some Dolly over there.
A beautiful blend of what you’d call tans and browns, but we’d call coffee and toffee, and some guy named Rodney would call khakis and beiges, makes this stone suitable for all types of landscape designs and decors. Oklahoma flagstone can come in all different thicknesses and can be crafted into all kinds of shapes and sizes.
Available sizes offered include:
- Patio Sized - medium to smaller sized pieces that you could manage by hand
- Big Pieces or Slabs - medium to large pieces that you would want to watch someone manage by hand
- Select or Stand Up - the prime premier pieces we think so highly of that they want to stand above the rest, so we literally stand them up on a pallet to keep them happy!
Now one more thing. Keep reading because this is important! Don’t skim either. Read word for word!
Remember when we said Oklahoma Flagstone is offered in different thicknesses? We say offered, but what we actually mean is that our fascinating earth decided how thick each stone was going to be a long time ago! When the earth decides to give us each stone, it’s hand sorted on pallets according to its thickness range.
Oklahoma Flagstone Thickness ranges and our industry rule of thumbs for uses include:

- Extra Thin Flagstone - typically +/- ½” - 1” thick and is best used as patio or walkway material with a concrete sub-base where stone height might be a concern
