Construction Site Preparation: Ensure the subsurface meets expected traffic requirements and adhere to industry
guidelines. Consider using ROMEX® Trass bed products for the ROMEX® SYSTEM GUARANTEE (RSG) or especially for any vehicular applications. Utilize ROMEX® application tools for optimal results. Avoid use in permanently wet areas and ensure a water-permeable superstructure and a slope of at least 2%

Joint Preparation: Clean joints to a depth of at least 75% but ideally 100% of stone height. For slab thickness under
30 mm, use bonded construction and fill joints entirely with ROMEX® – EASY ecofine. Clean the jointed surface of
all dirt and mask off adjacent surfaces.

Pre-wetting: Pre-wet the surface intensely, especially porous surfaces or in higher temperatures. Avoid standing water in fresh joints.

Application: Open the bucket, remove the vacuum sealed bag, and immediately pour the paving joint mortar over the pre-wet surface in sections. Work the mortar into the joints using a gentle spray of water and squeegee to ensure complete filling. Continuously water ROMEX® – EASY ecofine with a steady stream of water. No further compacting is needed.

Final Cleaning: immediately once surface has dried, gently sweep off the stone surface using a coconut hair/soft broom until free of all sand residue. Sweep diagonally to the joint and ensure joint material is at or below surface or chamfers. Discard swept material.

Subsequent Treatment: No rain protection is necessary for drizzle. Protect the freshly jointed surface from continuous or heavy rain for approximately 24 hours. Lay rain protection directly onto the surface if needed.

Important Information: ROMEX® – EASY ecofine may have a natural odour initially, which dissipates quickly over time. Use the product in well-ventilated outdoor areas and consider creating a sample area if unsure. Clean tools with water immediately after jointing. Wear protective gloves, rubber boots, safety goggles, and clothing while working. Regularly remove water-retentive moss, leaves, and weeds from the jointed surface. Due to the natural raw materials, expect natural color variations. Unused material in the bucket can be submerged in water to be used at a later date. Do not use excess swept material.
